Mercury Marine captured more than half of all outboard engines displayed and over 70% in the high-power segment, while premium boat brands Boston Whaler, Sea Ray, and Navan posted a 15% revenue increase year-over-year. Brunswick Corporation continues to set the pace in the marine industry, showcasing its strength at the recently concluded Düsseldorf Boat Show. As the world’s largest indoor marine exhibition, the event drew massive crowds and served as a critical barometer for the European market, offering early signals for the upcoming global boating season. Brunswick’s presence highlighted its dominance across propulsion, boat manufacturing, and technology segments.

Mercury Marine, Brunswick’s propulsion powerhouse, reinforced its commanding position in the outboard engine category. The brand accounted for more than half of all outboard engines on display at the show—nearly three times the volume of its closest competitor. In the high-performance segment of 300 horsepower and above, Mercury’s share exceeded 70%. This dominance reflects sustained demand for reliable, high-output engines among European boat builders and consumers.

The company’s momentum was further bolstered by strategic commercial moves. Mercury announced two new exclusive five-year supply agreements with prominent European original equipment manufacturers: deAntonio Yachts and Technohull. These deals add to a growing list of partnerships, with Mercury EMEA initiating or renewing collaborations with more than ten leading boat builders over the past year. Additional strategic alliances are expected throughout 2026, solidifying long-term market positioning and supply chain advantages in the region.

On the boat side, Brunswick’s premium fiberglass brands delivered impressive results. Boston Whaler and Navan both achieved year-over-year unit sales growth, demonstrating resilience and appeal in their respective segments. Judges highlighted the model’s seamless integration of advanced wakesurf technology with premium dayboat features, emphasizing its balance of fun, comfort, and functionality.
